Antifragile
This week I saw a video that describes the concept of “antifragile”, this is basically being able to make a profit from some unfavorable situation, for example when you do exercise and your muscle begins to ache, which is somewhat undesirable, however, this does not stay that way over time, since if you continue exercising the muscle will grow.
It is in this way that it is explained how the stumbles we have in our day-to-day help us to grow since they make us better and although painful at first, it serves a greater purpose.
This week I started working in a group of 8 people and I must say that in this short period of time we have stumbled more times than I would like to admit, although nobody likes to fail, all these little obstacles that we have had to overcome they have helped us to be better, so I think that a mistake stops being so if one is able to learn from them.
In terms of communication, how to carry out a good dialogue between all the parts of a team has been a great challenge and has represented great learning.
Finally, another of the things I learned was that if you are in a workgroup full of people willing to collaborate for the same goal, you can do things that make achieving the aforementioned goal more efficient. For example, it happened that a collaborator from another area in my work found out that my team and I were going to need to use a tool in which he is an expert, so he decided to contact us and help us by introducing ourselves and explaining more to the background some of the most relevant characteristics of the aforementioned tool, this resulted in us doing our work faster during the week.
It is then that it can be concluded that you should not pigeonhole yourself into seeing only the negative of an adverse situation, on the contrary, you must learn from it to be able to make yourself as antifragile as possible.
